JONEY JEFE HISTORY

Joney Jefe (aka the “Honey Boss”) began as a humble idea in 2019, with just two hives that didn’t survive their first winter. But after years of honing his craft, chief beekeeper Jeff Lewis is proud to have over a dozen thriving apiaries from the pastures of Bienville Parish to the banks of the Red River in Northwest Louisiana. Every ounce of honey we sell represents the hard work that Jeff put in over the years - you’ll taste the time and passion spent cultivating delicious honey with a kick. 

From mild to the hottest of the hot, Joney Jefe currently offers regular, jalapeño, picante, and small batch bourbon barrel-aged flavors. We cater to pepper heads with a sweet tooth who appreciate local unprocessed honey, and aim to be the most sought out hot honey in the region. And heck, even the whole country. Why not?
